Amman benchmark index continued its uptrend for the second straight session boosted by its three sectors.
The benchmark index rose by 0.32% gaining 6.83 points and closed at 2140.22 points.
It is worth mentioning that the index had risen at yesterday’s session by 0.07% gaining 1.49 points and closed at 2133.37 points.
Jordan bourse saw mass rise of the three sectors today. The industry sector increased by 1.23%, the services sector rose by 0.45% and the financial sector rose by 0.04%.
In today’s trading, 146 companies participated, 59 rose, 43 declined while the other remaining ones kept flat.
The top three gainers were, the Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries Co. by 7.14%, Ibn Alhaytham Hospital Company by 7.08% and Al-manara Insurance Plc.co. by 5.88%.
The top three losers were, Societe Generale De Banque - Jordanie by 5.26%, Philadelphia Insurance by 4.76% and Al-quds Ready Mix by 4.55%.
Out of 7.2 million shares were traded through 4,036 transactions at a turnover of JOD 6.9 million.
